Is BPC-157 safe for a large / giant breed?+
BPC-157 has the most reassuring safety record of any compound on this site as it applies to dogs. A dedicated preclinical safety evaluation identified no lethal dose, no genotoxicity, and no teratogenicity, and the canine pharmacokinetic study reported good tolerance across seven days of repeated dosing at 30 mcg/kg — several times a typical clinical dose. The meaningful caveat is duration rather than dose: long-term continuous use in dogs has not been studied.
